Welcome, Who, What, Where

Hi,
Waterfall at Bucks Pocket State Park
Welcome to our blog about RV camping, hiking and biking.

We are passionate about camping and the outdoors. Neither rain, nor snow (well, we'll see) will keep us away from a weekend of foraging. We love camping in our Aliner, which is easier to set up than a tent. We also camp in a two (to four) man tent on occasion, just we don't get too spoiled.
We delight in exploring hiking trails and riding our tandem bike with other cyclists.
Not only do we enjoy camping, discovering the outdoors and making new friends, we are able to travel to do all this. (Not on a full-time basis, yet.)
There are many beautiful State Parks with more than enough amenities to keep anyone busy, especially those with kids. It's great to see so many people, kids and adults and youth groups, partaking in outdoor fun and not sitting on a high tech chair playing electronic (brain drain) games training people that violence is ok.
Planning our excursions is part of the fun. Do we go to Tellico, park in our favorite motorcycle camp and ride (our tandem) up to Cherhala Falls? Or do we head south to
Georgia and set up camp at Fort State Mountain Park where we can hike around the stone wall and up to the tower or swim or paddle in the lake? Or do we pedal the Silver Comet?
It doesn't take us long to plan our meals, nor pack our gear. However, we are starting to use a checklist, so we don't leave anything behind that might make our trip more enjoyable or we don't have to go to the store and buy. We often book trips months in advance due to popularity of campsites and the season, and if we're traveling with friends. Jon loves to try new recipes, he's a good cook and I'm just his sous chef.
As we continue to explore, investigate, plan and relish, we'll share our tips and travels with you! We hope you'll enjoy our videos and blogs and share your helpful tips and places with us.

Happy Camping!

Jon & Loretta
